How to Feed Arowana Fish with Crickets

Sometimes we are confused because the arowana looks just hungry. Each meal is given 6 crickets. He's still asking for more. Actually how many cricket seeds every time the arowana eats????

In my personal opinion, the arowana should not be too forced, because it will cause a hunger strike. The important thing is to do it every day according to the portion. For example too much / full is not good for arowana. For example, we are human, for example, if we eat too much, we will have a fever.

If twice a day is enough in the morning and evening, but 3x a day is free, some are 5x, some even 6x, that's okay, depending on taste. Also try to vary the feed so that the arowana does not get bored.

Indeed, there is no definite benchmark for how many crickets should be given each meal. How to feed it depends on the instinct of the owner of the aro only. If it is enough, then it should be stopped to be fed.

There are some owners who give special treatment in feeding crickets. For example, by cutting the hind legs of crickets with teeth/thorns/saws so as not to scratch the throat or mouth of the arowana. And also so as not to choke.

Also sometimes if given with his feet, sometimes his thighs also vomit which causes the tank to get dirty quickly.

It's okay to trim them as well, so the crickets don't pass through the filter hose. Because my neighbor's experience was that the cricket's leg got stuck in the gills, the effect was that it didn't want to eat, it continued to joke for 1 week but it could come off on its own.

But if I myself don't need to remove the cricket's organs, sorry about the crickets, so I just install it. So far it's safe for my fish, it's been three full years of crickets. The love is that if the fish is still small, give small crickets too.

They are born to be predators so don't think about it. After all, in their habitat, fish will not be picky about crickets with broken hind legs. Indeed, in nature, no one picks up the legs of crickets.

Actually crickets are still light, rather than live shrimp which are sharper yes, you can eat them without any problems. Finally, it should be noted that the food provided is not left in the tank.
